Qualifications

Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order(s).
Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous.
Reads guests information about Benihana foods as they are cooked or upon inquiries.
Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests.
Asks guests for cooking preference and follows guest instructions.
Prepares a variety of foods for cooking using kitchen equipment.
Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
Maintains kitchen and teppan areas clean and sanitary.
Follows portions standards and recipe specifications.
Presents a clean appearance and courteous manner to guests.
Notifies MOD if guests are not satisfied.
May photograph guests for special occasions if requested.
Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
