Job summary

Care Builders at Home is seeking empathetic and reliable Caregivers to provide companionship and daily living support to clients in their own homes across Florida. You will assist with activities of daily living, transportation, and light housekeeping, helping clients maintain independence with dignity.

Qualifications

• Florida HHA/CNA certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• TB test and background check may be required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients.
• Willing to undergo fingerprint screening and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping such as meals, laundry, and tidying.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social events.
• Monitor health changes and report to supervisors; ensure a safe home environment.

Requirements:

• Valid HHA or CNA certificate (State of Florida)

• CPR certification

• TB Test results

• Willing to undergo ACHA fingerprint screening (if not already done)

• Valid ID and Social Security card

• Reliable transportation

• Be able to travel 20-45 minutes for some clients.

• Ability to pass drug screening

Responsibilities of a Caregiver:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up.

• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.

• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

Skills and Qualifications of a Caregiver:

• Previous experience as a caregiver preferred but not required.

• Compassionate and empathetic attitude.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

• Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform light household tasks. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)

• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
