You will assist with permit applications, regulatory research, and procedure development, while supporting training materials and documentation.

The internship expands knowledge of federal/state regulations and Sunoco's HES programs, offering meaningful projects and mentorship in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread independently.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week, from early June through late August.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental permitting activities by assisting with federal, state, and local permit applications.
  • Assist in evaluating regulatory compliance under CAA, CWA, RCRA, and state equivalents; analyze regulatory developments.
  • Develop and calculate greenhouse gas emissions inventories (Scope 1-3) and support related data management.
  • Review and aid in Employee safety program documentation and training materials; assist with ERPs and emergency preparedness records.
  • Support data collection, reporting, and presentation preparation within Sunoco’s HES Data Management Platform.
