Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics (HALO Dx) is seeking a Patient Navigator – Hereditary Cancer Testing in Mount Dora, FL. This in-person, full-time role supports patients through genetic testing with education, care coordination, and limited phlebotomy.

Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a compassionate, high-quality experience. Bilingual English/Spanish required and stock options are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' Medical Assistant experience in a clinical team.
• Phlebotomy proficiency with specimen collection.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorizations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel between sites if needed.

Responsibilities

• Educate, guide, and support high-risk patients undergoing hereditary cancer genetic testing.
• Register patients and coordinate follow-up visits and services.
• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately, establishing trust.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection (5–10% of role).
• Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation per privacy regulations.
• Ensure a clean, safe, welcoming clinical environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, site leadership to complete daily tasks.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned patients.
