Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Patient Navigator – Hereditary Cancer Testing to educate high-risk patients, coordinate scheduling, and support logistics for genetic testing. Based in Jacksonville, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accuracy, compassion, and a seamless patient journey.

You will perform phlebotomy support, assist with education, and help maintain patient records while upholding privacy and quality standards in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent Medical Assistant experience within a clinical team.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience with insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Nationally certified phlebotomist with demonstrated venipuncture proficiency.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated competency in blood collection for genetic testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to high-risk patients undergoing hereditary cancer genetic testing.
• Register patients and coordinate scheduling for follow-up visits and related services.
• Establish trust with patients by clearly and compassionately explaining procedures and next steps.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with accuracy and professionalism.
• Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens at collection.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation and records.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and site leadership to complete daily tasks.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned patients and HALO’s commitment to precision medicine.
