Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a Patient Navigator for hereditary cancer testing. The role guides patients through education, scheduling, and specimen collection, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compassionate, high‑quality care.

This in‑person, full‑time position requires bilingual English/Spanish communication. The role includes limited phlebotomy, patient education, and coordination across services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years as a Medical Assistant working in a clinical team.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide high‑risk patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing.
• Register patients and coordinate scheduling for follow‑up visits.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection (5–10% of role).
• Verify patient identity and properly label specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records per privacy regulations.
• Ensure a clean, safe, welcoming clinic environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff on daily tasks.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned patients.
