Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Medical Assistant in a clinical team.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Nationally certified phlebotomist with proficiency in venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and support multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Educate high-risk patients undergoing hereditary cancer testing.
• Register patients and coordinate follow-up visits and related services.
• Explain procedures and next steps clearly and compassionately.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with accuracy (5–10% of role).
• Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately.
• Maintain complete patient documentation per privacy policies.
• Ensure a clean, safe, welcoming clinical environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to complete daily tasks.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned patients and HALO’s precision medicine focus.
