Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Lake County, IL is seeking a Director, HEOR to lead integrated evidence strategies for on-market and pipeline indications.

You will serve as HEOR lead on cross-functional teams, shaping evidence plans to support commercialization, market access, reimbursement, and policy objectives while maintaining scientific rigor. The role requires an advanced degree and a track record in HEOR leadership, RWE/ITC and economic modeling, with experience across global regulatory HTA landscapes.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a health field (MD/PharmD/MS in Economics/Econometrics or (pharmaco)epidemiology).
Minimum ten years in HEOR with Master’s; six+ years with PhD/PharmD; fellowship is a plus.
Experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred with RWE/HTA exposure.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex programs.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver integrated HEOR strategies for assigned indications.
Lead HEOR on cross-functional teams and influence strategic decisions.
Shape contributions to global development, commercialization, lifecycle strategies.
Lead HEOR evidence-generation plans aligned with regulatory and commercial objectives.
Ensure end-to-end delivery of HEOR book of work and resource prioritization.
Provide strategic HEOR leadership to support market access and value communication.
