Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Director of Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) to lead the development and execution of HEOR strategies for one or more assets or indications in the US or globally. The role may include 1–2 direct reports and requires senior-level collaboration with cross-functional partners to align HEOR with commercial goals.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in health economics or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years in health economics/HEOR; PhD if applicable.
PhD in Economics, Econometrics, or pharmacoepidemiology preferred; fellowship is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee design and conduct of HEOR projects and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Provide HEOR strategic direction aligned with cross-functional business goals.
Ensure plans integrate with product strategy and commercial objectives; liaise with product teams.
Accountable for end-to-end HEOR execution and deliverables.
Foster strong partnerships with HEOR COE functions for cross-functional representation.
Engage senior leaders with executive presence in cross-functional settings.
