Job summary

UHA University Health Associates in Martinsburg, WV, seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to support Hematology/Oncology at Berkeley Medical Center. You will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, coordinate care, and participate in rounds and education in a dynamic oncology setting.

The role involves collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to develop individualized care plans, perform diagnostics, and assist with discharge planning and follow-up.

Qualifications

• :Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• :National Certification by APRN Certification Centers.
• :Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• :AHA BLS Certification with ALS training as appropriate.
• :PA track requires ARC-PA accreditation and NCCPA certification (for PA candidates).

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for patients and families in the infusion center and ambulatory setting.
• Completes daily rounds and pre-treatment evaluations in the infusion center, participates in ambulatory clinics and inpatient care.
• Develops and reviews the plan of care with the clinical team and coordinates discharge planning/follow-up.
• Orders tests or consults as indicated by clinical guidelines.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and communicates results to the team and patients.
• Documents care plans and outcomes in the medical record; educates staff and patients.
