Job summary

Methodist Hospitals in Indiana is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform all moderate and high complexity laboratory procedures. The role includes instrument calibration, QA/QC duties, and potential charge tech responsibilities.

Qualified candidates hold a MT/ASCP or CLS certification, a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, and at least two years in a clinical lab. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences from an accredited institution.
• Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Professional certification MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), or equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs all moderate and highly complex laboratory procedures.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Runs instrument assays and calibration; may serve as key operator.
• Conducts Quality Control procedures and evaluates QC data.
• Participates in CMS proficiency testing and meets educational requirements.
• Oversees student rotations and assists in inventory management and resource utilization.
• Assists in scheduling, competency assessment, and performance improvement data collection.
