Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and high complexity lab tests on blood and body fluids. You will support patient care by ensuring accurate results, maintaining instruments, and assisting in data collection for compliance.

In this role you may teach staff and perform phlebotomy as needed. The position is full-time days, Monday-Friday, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Passing CLS Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW) is required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity tests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and document results.
• Maintain instrument function checks and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and involve appropriate personnel when needed.
• Ensure safety regulations and PPE compliance.
