Job summary

CURE Auto Insurance is seeking an IT Helpdesk/Systems Administrator in Southfield, MI to deliver fast, reliable IT support and manage network infrastructure. You will troubleshoot tickets, manage user accounts, and assist in deploying large-scale tech projects with the helpdesk team.

The role requires strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Google Workspace, and network equipment, plus experience with Cisco Meraki, VMware, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of helpdesk experience in a business environment.
• Proficient with Windows 11/10 and Windows Server 2022; AD and Group Policy.
• Experience maintaining routers, switches, firewalls and network security.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot tickets via FreshService ITSM across Windows, apps, and hardware.
• Onboard/manage user accounts in Gmail and O365; provisioning laptops.
• Coordinate resolutions and escalate high-severity issues to CIO as needed.
• Administer Windows Active Directory, DHCP, and Group Policy; manage Google Workspace.
• Support HQ network apps, Cisco Meraki, VMware, Windows Servers; patching.
• Collaborate with HQ helpdesk on new solutions; perform other duties as assigned.

IT Helpdesk/Systems Administrator

CURE Auto Insurance is looking for a System Administrator to provide fast and efficient IT support through ticketing with the ability to support network infrastructure. You will be responsible for troubleshooting user issues, performing hardware/software break-fixes, service integrations. physical virtual network installations, working with department leads, and completing large scale projects with the helpdesk team. Candidates considered for this role must possess advanced knowledge of IT systems, excellent diagnostic skills, and high-level communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

User troubleshooting - Resolve systems, application, hardware, and network trouble tickets administered via FreshService ITSM. Typically includes supporting: Microsoft and Windows-based software, call center and inter-business softphones, web-based services, common office hardware/software.

User account onboarding/management - Gmail, O365, other third-party services. Laptop/workstation provisioning.

Track related IT issues - Take ownership or coordinate resolution and assist in driving large issues to a close with helpdesk team and business leads, escalating high severity issues to CIO if needed.

Windows/Active Directory administration including DHCP, AD management, Group Policy.

Google Workspace Administration.

Support CURE HQ helpdesk team to install/configure network applications, tools, and patches. (Cisco Meraki firewalls/switches/peripherals, VMware environment, Windows Servers etc.)

Work with CURE HQ helpdesk team when integrating new business solutions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

At least 3 years - Helpdesk experience in a business office environment: Supporting PC’s, peripherals, printers, phones, servers, software installations, including:Installation, configuration, and maintaining OS and user applications.

Operating Systems: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows Server 2022.

Active Directory and Group Policy.

At least 1 year - Network support experience.

Maintaining network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Protecting networks from unauthorized users and implementing security measure.

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills.

Experience w/ Cisco Meraki, TeamViewer, Veeam, vSphere, AWS, GCP, Genesys Cloud, FreshService, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 is a plus

Hands on experience w/ firewalls, switches, scripting, and security tools.

Physical Actions/Environment

Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions.

Schedule

We offer flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with options like 8-4, 8:30-4:30, or 9-5. We do our best to support individual preferences, though schedules may be adjusted as needed to ensure strong coverage and teamwork.

We also offer a hybrid schedule: team members work onsite four days a week and can work remotely one day a week.
