Job Title: Help Desk Technician

Description

The Department of AG is seeking a Help Desk Technician for a 3-6 month contract-to-hire position. The role involves help desk, desktop, and light networking functions in a highly virtualized and confidential environment supporting the entire Pennsylvania state government.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Responding to user tickets and providing technical support.
  2. Imaging computers and maintaining extensive IT infrastructure.
  3. Troubleshooting hardware issues including printers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, drivers, and monitors.
  4. Installing applications, minor routers, and switches.
  5. Supporting Windows & MS environment, including Windows 10 & 11, Office 365, and virtual desktop environments (VMWare & Citrix).
  6. Documenting support activities accurately and efficiently.
  7. Working in a highly confidential setting, including managing wire taps for undercover agents.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Help Desk, Citrix, VMWare, Desktop Support, Break/Fix, Troubleshooting, Office 365, and Ticketing systems (Kace preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both high-level and entry-level attorneys.
  • Strong listening and documentation skills.
  • Flexible, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt to organizational processes.
  • Personality is a key hiring factor.

Additional Information:

  • Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
  • This is a fully onsite role in Harrisburg, PA.
