Job summary

DeVine is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join our team in Monterey, CA, supporting a government customer onsite. This full-time hourly role requires US citizenship and offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, paid holidays, sick leave, and paid vacation; compensation up to $19 per hour.

Responsibilities include answering and remediating Tier 1 calls, creating tickets, escalating to Tier 2 as needed, and assisting with system integration and user guidance;

Qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple OS platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android) and related hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with IT support principles, ticketing workflows, and end-user assistance.
• CompTIA Security+ is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Answer and remediate Tier 1 trouble calls during business hours.
• Create and remediate Tier 1 tickets; escalate Tier 2 as needed.
• Support the implementation and operation of integrated hardware/software systems for residency programs and mobile education events.
• Troubleshoot systems via direct interaction or remote connections.
• Develop guides/instructions for participants on IT resources and connectivity to wireless networks.

DeVine is a leading provider of Technical and Scientific solutions for Federal, State and commercial clients.

Our company is looking for a Help Desk Specialistto join our team in Monterey, CA. This position will be supporting a government customer, hence only US Citizens may be considered for hire.

TheHelp Desk Specialistwill joinDeVine, and collaborate with our government customer onsite, Mondays through Fridays. If you have the relevant experience & attributes, and enjoy working in the Monterey area, then we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Answering and remediating trouble calls during business hours
• Answering all Tier 1 calls, create and remediate Tier 1 tickets
• Escalate issues to Tier 2 as appropriate and remediate all Tier 2 escalations
• Be responsible for the implementation and operation of an integrated system of hardware and software applications designed to support mission of providing in-resident programs and mobile education events
• Troubleshoot all of the above systems on a continuous basis, either through direct interaction or remote connection
• Develop guides and instructions for participants on the IT resources available during their residency, and how to connect their personal laptops, smartphones, etc. towireless networks

Experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of various computer operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, etc.), techniques, requirements and methods, including systems management software concepts and functions in order to install, maintain, and repair computer hardware and software
• Current CompTIA Security+desired
• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university a plus
