Job summary

Trace Systems is seeking a cleared Help Desk Specialist II to support the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC. You will assist with installation, operation, and maintenance of critical data and applications hosted by NRL while strengthening cybersecurity defenses.

The role follows a standard IT service desk schedule, with on-site work in the DC area and opportunities to build skills in documentation, end-user training, and information assurance. You will work closely with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Active US government Secret clearance required.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must meet 8570 IAT II (Sec+) or higher.
• Minimum of five years of specialized experience in hardware, software, information assurance, or business analytical support.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain data and applications hosted by NRL, while bolstering cybersecurity defenses.
• Support the Naval Research Lab initiatives and ensure reliable IT service desk operations.
• Work within peak hours 0600–1800 EST, Monday through Friday, in a dynamic IT environment.
