Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to its customers. This full-time opportunity includes a salary range with geographic modifiers, a 15K sign-on bonus, and retention bonuses after years of service. On-duty housing and a 7/7 schedule are offered to support crew readiness.

Join a mission‑critical team working with medical experts to transport patients safely, maintain aircraft readiness, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Total flight hours at least 2,000.
• 1,500 helicopter hours and 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• 1,000 turbine helicopter hours and 200 night hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely with a medical team to locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and comply with FAR/Med-Trans rules.
• Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Provide shift change information following change-board procedures.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate MTC and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)

• B407 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
