Amentum is hiring a Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) for Fort Rucker, Alabama. Instructors will teach and mentor student pilots through intensive rotary-wing training, emphasizing safety in every phase.

Applicants must meet stringent flight-hour requirements, be qualified to instruct instrument flight, and hold current FAA medical certification. NVG-qualified candidates with 200 hours NVG time are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must hold ICAO equivalent or FAA rotorcraft instructor certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings.
  • Total flight time of 1500 hours; PIC or SIC creditable.
  • Must certify 100 hours of hooded instrument or sim time.
  • Must have instructed students in instrument flight training.
  • Night Flying – 75 hours.
  • Instructor Time – 500 hours.
  • Must have current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • NVG qualified with 200 hours NVG time.

Responsibilities

  • Teach, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training to prepare for military aviation roles.
  • Maintain safety as the top priority in Rotary Wing Flight Training.
  • Deliver flight instruction in UH-72 and oversee flight training in a large geographical area.
