Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) to teach and mentor student pilots at Fort Rucker, AL. You will lead flight instruction for UH‑72, with emphasis on safety and mission readiness.

Prior military experience is not required but preferred for qualification and reliability. Responsibilities include instructing across a wide NAS area, maintaining safety standards, and leveraging extensive flight-instruction hours to advance cadets toward aviation roles.

Qualifications

  • ICAO equivalent or FAA pilot certificate required.
  • Flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft, helicopter class and instrument ratings.
  • Must have helicopter flight instruction background per FAR rules.

Responsibilities

  • Teach, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training for military aviator roles.
  • Conduct flight instruction across NAS area covering 40,000+ square miles.
  • Maintain safety standards and uphold a strong safety record.
