Job summary

CAE USA Inc. in Dothan, AL is seeking an experienced rotary-wing instructor pilot to train USAF IFT-R student pilots.

You will lead contact flight training, instrument familiarization, and participate in a full standardization program at the Dothan Training Center. The role requires an active FAA helicopter instrument rating, an FAA CFI-H rating, 2,500+ total flight hours (including 1,000+ as an instructor and 1,500+ turbine hours), and US citizenship due to DoD contract requirements.

Qualifications

• FAA-certified commercial pilot, Helicopter with Instrument rating.
• FAA Certificated Flight Instructor Helicopter with Instrument rating (current).
• Graduate of US DoD rotary wing instructor pilot training (preferred).
• Total Flight Time – 2,500 hrs; 1,000 hrs helicopter instructor; 1,500 hrs helicopter turbine.
• Must possess and maintain FAA Class 2 medical certificate.
• Must be US citizen due to government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• The employee will conduct contact flight training and instrument familiarization for the USAF IFT-R program.
• Participate in a full standardization and training program for the USAF program at the CAE Dothan Training Center.
• Ensure compliance with USAF, FAR, and other applicable standards.
• Contribute to the Quality Management System, procedures, and safety programs.
• Maintain awareness of changes to external standards and implement improvements.
• Coordinate examiner activities and ensure adequate support for the program.
• Interface with program stakeholders, CAE USA staff, and customers to address quality issues.
• Present metrics to measure process performance and impact of improvements.
