Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Practice Performance Manager to drive provider performance initiatives and education across Medicare Advantage networks. You will partner with care providers, lead Stars-related education, and coordinate resources to close gaps in HEDIS performance.

The role requires extensive collaboration with physicians and plans, travel across the territory, and a mix of onsite and remote work. Benefits and a comprehensive package are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare industry experience.
• 3+ years in a health plan or provider's office.
• 1+ years of STARs experience.
• Advanced Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong relationship-building with clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Weekly 60% travel and 40% remote work.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Meet with providers to discuss UHG tools and programs to improve care quality.
• Execute provider incentive programs for the health plan.
• Build long-term consultative relationships with physicians, medical groups, IPAs and ACOs.
• Develop provider-specific plans to increase HEDIS performance and outcomes.
• Provide coaching and training on program implementation and barrier resolution.
• Coordinate resources to provide provider education and support; training includes Stars measures and Optum program administration.
• Lead Stars-specific JOC meetings with provider groups to drive process improvement.
• Provide reporting to health plan leadership on progress and gap closures.
• Lead meetings with plan leadership and prepare reports/materials.
• Suggest feedback to Optum and health plan.
• Collaborate with health plan market leads to inform providers about initiatives.
• Participate in department campaigns to improve quality measures.
• Work on adhoc projects to address measure star ratings and gaps.
• Create strategy and action plans for targeted provider groups to improve delivery and star ratings.
• Weekly travel 60% and 40% remote work.
