Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to lead multiple Fund Accounting teams responsible for NAV, fund performance, expenses, and client reporting in a complex, multi-client environment.

You will manage resources, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, develop staff, and maintain relationships with auditors and clients. This role requires 5–7 years of experience, including 1–3 years in management, preferably from a Big 4 firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of total work experience with at least 1-3 years in management preferred.
• Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple Fund Accounting teams responsible for NAV calculations, fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
• Manage financial and human resources for the unit to meet goals.
• Direct NAV determination for assigned funds across sectors for each cycle.
• Manage relationships with clients and resolve escalated fund accounting issues.
• Set process priorities to ensure completeness and accuracy of disclosures in financial statements.
• Evaluate GAAP and IFRS rules for impact of new regulations on fund accounting practices and implementation.
• Draft financial reports for clients to review fund performance.
• Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize contributions and teamwork.
• Oversee relationships with auditors and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead fund/client accounting teams through subordinate managers.
