Job summary

BNY in Boston, MA seeks a Director to lead the Fund Accounting team, with a four-day in-office expectation and a focus on NAV accuracy, client service, and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise multiple fund and client accounting teams, shape strategy, and partner with auditors and senior clients; 7–10 years of experience and Big4 preferred.

This role combines hands-on leadership with policy development, ensuring GAAP and IFRS adherence and a strong, value-driven performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of total work experience with at least 3–5 years in management preferred.
• Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct a Fund Accounting area with multiple teams handling NAV, fund performance, expenses, and reports.
• Manage financial and human resources to meet goals.
• Set guidelines for NAV determination across sectors; contribute to strategy.
• Oversee client relationships and service levels; assist in sales including RFPs/RFIs.
• Guide financial statement disclosures; resolve escalated issues; analyze GAAP and IFRS for compliance.
• Draft policies for financial reports; explain accounting details to clients; liaise with auditors.
• Recruit, mentor, develop staff and maximize team performance.
• Oversee Fund/Client Accounting teams through managers and help achieve goals.
