Job summary

BNY Mellon in New York is seeking a Senior Associate Fund/Client Accounting to join our Fund Accounting team. You will conduct accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds, determining NAV, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing client reports.

You will review cash and asset reconciliations, provide guidance to junior staff, interact with clients about fund performance, and help optimize accounting processes within a global financial services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience required.
• 5–7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
• Ability to evaluate GAAP and/or IFRS rules for regulatory impact on fund accounting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds including NAV determination, fund performance, expense allocation, and reports.
• Drive service improvements, enhance processes, and review junior staff work.
• Guide and review cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts; resolve atypical transactions and supervise juniors.
• Draft client reports on complex funds and respond to client inquiries regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
