Job summary

Heavy Machines Inc. is seeking a parts specialist to serve customers by researching parts from manuals, preparing quotes, and entering orders into the system.

You will coordinate new customer setup, suggest sales to meet needs, and assist mechanics with diagrams while ensuring accurate pricing and timely processing. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in parts/service, strong computer skills, and the ability to handle deadlines with excellent customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a basic knowledge of all equipment sold by Heavy Machines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle deadlines and stress.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and assist walk-in customers promptly and courteously.
• Research parts from manufacturers' parts manuals to assist customers.
• Prepare parts quotes and enter orders in the computer system.
• Coordinate setting up new customers in the computer system.
• Ensure customer service by suggesting sales to meet total needs.
• Assist mechanics with parts diagrams and identifying parts accurately.
• Post parts to work orders from the parts warehouse and service techs.
• Support the mechanics by processing orders timely.
• Pull parts for customers and assist in stocking.
• Understand the computer parts system and pricing impacts.
• Ensure orders have current pricing, cost, and freight.
• Utilize inventory to reduce surplus and correct misorders.
• On-order customer requirements if not in stock.
• Other duties as assigned by Customer Service Manager.
