Job summary

DCH Ford of Thousand Oaks, part of Lithia & Driveway, is hiring a Heavy Line Service Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, drivetrain, steering, suspension and electrical issues in a high-volume Ford dealership.

You will use Ford diagnostic equipment, perform heavy line repairs including engine/transmission work, document findings for Service Advisors, and grow professionally with ASE/Ford certifications supported by our total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive heavy line technician experience in a dealership environment.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical system issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Ford experience and Ford certifications are required.
• ASE certifications are preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex engine, transmission, drivetrain, steering, suspension, and electrical concerns.
• Perform heavy line repairs, including engine replacements, internal engine repairs, transmission work, and major drivability diagnostics.
• Use Ford diagnostic equipment and repair procedures to identify vehicle issues.
• Document repairs thoroughly and communicate findings with Service Advisors.

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on Production/Productivity. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location.
