Job summary

DCH Ford of Thousand Oaks, part of Lithia & Driveway, is hiring a Heavy Line Service Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, drivetrain, steering, suspension and electrical issues in a high-volume Ford dealership.

You will use Ford diagnostic equipment, perform heavy line repairs including engine/transmission work, document findings for Service Advisors, and grow professionally with ASE/Ford certifications supported by our total rewards package.

Qualifications

3+ years of automotive heavy line technician experience in a dealership environment.
Diagnose engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical system issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Ford experience and Ford certifications are required.
ASE certifications are preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex engine, transmission, drivetrain, steering, suspension, and electrical concerns.
Perform heavy line repairs, including engine replacements, internal engine repairs, transmission work, and major drivability diagnostics.
Use Ford diagnostic equipment and repair procedures to identify vehicle issues.
Document repairs thoroughly and communicate findings with Service Advisors.
