Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Site Construction Manager 1 to lead on-site field operations at client project sites across the United States. This role focuses on safety, quality control, scheduling, and ensuring drawings and specifications are followed, while representing the company at the site.

100% field work with potential to support other construction managers on large projects. A high school diploma with significant relevant experience is required; higher degrees and OSHA 30 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires construction management/supervision experience.
• Relevant education combined with years of field experience.
• Experience in heavy industrial construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and conformance to drawings.
• Maintain project schedule and report delays to the PM.
• Prepare daily, monthly and quality reports for site records.
• Collect progress photos and document site activities.
• Assist with contract changes and progress payments with client approval.
