Job summary

ATS, Inc. in St. Cloud, MN seeks a Heavy Haul Operations Manager to lead the Heavy Haul Division, directing daily operations, optimizing resources, and driving safety and profitability.

You will mentor Fleet Managers and drivers, manage budgets, and ensure DOT compliance, hours-of-service, and training, while building a high-performing team. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required. This role requires a business/transport/logistics background and a data-driven leader who can

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of the commercial transportation industry.
• Results-driven leader focused on profitability and operations goals.
• Analytical and data-focused with KPI usage and trend analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Heavy Haul Division operations, directing activities for safe, efficient, profitable service.
• Engage in customer relationships, pricing strategies, equipment acquisitions, and performance optimization.
• Drive fleet productivity by monitoring KPIs, analyzing trends, and implementing improvements.
• Provide leadership to Fleet Managers and drivers, addressing day-to-day operational and compliance needs.
• Ensure DOT regulations and safety standards compliance, including drug testing and hours-of-service.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team through recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop budgets and strategic plans, allocate resources, and support company culture.
