Job summary

ATS Welding, LLC in Utah is seeking an experienced CDL Driver to support our heavy equipment transport on energy infrastructure projects. You will manage transportation duties, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safe delivery to job sites.

Responsibilities include following foremen’s directions, completing required paperwork, maintaining equipment, obtaining permits when needed, and upholding DOT/ICC compliance in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Experience with Low Boy Trailers required; Side Dump trailers preferred when equipment moves are slow.
• Knowledge of DOT and ICC regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate trucks for equipment transport, specifically heavy equipment.
• Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors to ensure accurate deliveries and operations.
• Read and follow location and road maps to reach job sites efficiently.
• Perform preinspections of trucks to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Pick up and verify loads for accuracy and deliver them to specified locations.
• Maintain basic vehicle upkeep and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and processes.
• Complete necessary paperwork and verify accuracy for deliveries and pickups.
• Obtain and manage necessary permits when required.
• Ensure compliance with DOT and ICC rules and regulations.
