Zusammenfassung

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to maintain and repair heavy equipment and fleets. You will perform structural welding, fabrication, and body repairs on waste handling equipment and trucks to keep our fleet in service.

Responsibilities include layout, prep, safety, and tool maintenance in a day-shift shop environment with overtime opportunities. CDL is a plus and basic welding certification is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2+ years welding and metal fabrication experience (waste industry or heavy equipment experience a plus).
• Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and torching/cutting processes; basic welding certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform high-quality structural welding and repairs on waste handling equipment (e.g., compactors, roll-off containers).
• Execute custom fabrication and body repairs on heavy trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Lay out, prep and surface preparation for painting; maintain shop safety and organized work area.
