Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our shop. You will perform heavy-duty welding, structural repairs, and custom fabrication on solid waste equipment and vehicles year-round.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and torching/cutting processes.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus).
• Certification in basic welding skills preferred.
• Must supply basic personal tools (welding helmet, wrenches).

Responsibilities

• Equipment Repair & Maintenance: high-quality structural welding on waste handling equipment.
• Vehicle Fabrication: custom fabrication and body repairs on heavy trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Layout & Prep: cutting, torching, grinding, fitting, and surface prep for painting.
• Safety & Standards: maintain shop safety and organized work environment.
