Job summary

Sehlhorst Equipment Services is seeking an experienced Shop Welder/Fabricator to support our heavy equipment fleet and field operations. You will perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and repairs, including stick and MIG welding and CNC plasma cutting, ensuring quality workmanship.

The role focuses on rebuilding and reinforcing high-wear components such as buckets and wear plates, with attention to fit, alignment, and structural integrity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder/fabricator in heavy equipment or industrial repairs.
• Proficient in stick (SMAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding, including thick plate.
• Experience reading fabrication drawings and measuring layouts.
• Experience with CNC plasma cutting and wearing components repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality stick and MIG welding on structural steel parts and assemblies.
• Lay out, fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish parts using drawings and templates.
• Operate CNC plasma table to cut wear parts, brackets, and custom components.
• Rebuild and repair wear components on excavators, dozers, loaders, and demolition equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
