Job summary

RPMGlobal in Blair County, PA is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to perform welding and fabrication on heavy equipment, read blueprints, and ensure quality through MIG, TIG, and stick welding. You will measure, layout, cut, and fit parts, with strict safety and equipment maintenance standards.

Team oriented role requiring a High School diploma or GED and prior welding/fabrication experience; CDL/MedCard not required but may be preferred depending on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication on heavy equipment, machinery, and components.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair metal components using welding and cutting techniques.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Cut, bend, fit, grind, and prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with repair and modification of construction, aggregate, and heavy equipment.
• Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify worn or damaged components and assist with determining repairs.
• Perform measurements and layout work to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Maintain welding and fabrication tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Work collaboratively with mechanics and Equipment Services coworkers to complete repairs.
• Assist with other Equipment Services maintenance and repair needs as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for repairs of both mobile and stationary equipment. Must be able to identify different metals for welding and have knowledge of mechanical repair on various pieces of equipment.

Welder/Fabricator - What Will You Do?

• Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (Med Card).
• Site-Specific CDL may be required as determined by the Area Shop Manager.
• Valid driver's license and compliant with NESL Driving Standards.
