Job summary

JCB North America is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for its Pooler, GA facility to perform advanced welding and fabrication for skid steers, backhoe loaders, and other heavy equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and delivering high-quality welds that meet safety and production standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with MIG welding (GMAW) and ability to perform consistent, high-quality welds.
• Ability to pass welding test(s) and pre-employment requirements (drug screen, background, etc.).
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding operations including MIG, SMAW, and TIG welding as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, fixtures, and fabrication machinery.
• Perform fabrication tasks including fitting, grinding, cutting, and preparing materials for welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Load and unload parts and assemblies using material handling equipment.
• Operate press brakes, grinders, and other fabrication tools as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot welding defects and fabrication issues, applying problem-solving techniques.
• Support CI initiatives to improve quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety standards.
