Job summary

JCB North America, based in Pooler, GA, seeks an experienced welder/fabricator for the production of skid steers and heavy equipment on the 3rd shift. The role requires MIG, SMAW, and TIG welding, reading blueprints, assembling and fabricating parts, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include setup, inspection, and operation of fabrication tools, while contributing to continuous improvement and a clean, safe 5S work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years welding and fabrication experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated MIG (GMAW) welding experience with consistent weld quality.
• Ability to pass welding tests and pre-employment screenings per policy.
• Pass drug screens and background checks as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding on MIG, SMAW, and TIG as needed.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, and drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and fabrication machinery.
• Fabricate, fit, grind, and prepare materials for welding.
• Inspect welds for quality and safety compliance.
• Move parts using appropriate handling equipment and run fabrication tools.
• Identify defects and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S workplace and wear PPE at all times.
