Job summary

All Roads in Ashland, VA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. The role emphasizes diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics, and hands-on problem solving within a supportive team.

You will service, repair, and recondition equipment, create accurate repair estimates, and collaborate with OEM for technical guidance. A strong mechanical background and CDK documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical diagnostic capability.
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment or heavy duty trucks.
• Proficient ability to document in CDK.
• Detail oriented, organized, safety focused and team player.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
• Welding as needed
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
• Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Other duties as assigned

Description

Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with diesel engines and problem solving? We are excited to bring on a new addition as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. If you’re mechanically inclined, hands-on, and ready to build a career with a supportive team, we want to hear from you today!

Compensation & Schedule

• $25-$35 per hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign on bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
