Job summary

Empire Southwest seeks a field service technician to repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and allied equipment in the field, and prepare equipment for delivery. You will troubleshoot engine systems, communicate findings to clients and management, and travel to remote sites as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and English proficiency. Applicants must be prepared for overtime, safety policies, and working in challenging weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current driver’s license required.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as dictated.
• Minimum 6 months related experience.
• Must communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Maintain good client relations and support marketing objectives.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Maintain equipment in good, clean condition.
