Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking seasoned shop/field technicians for our in-shop environment. 1st/Day Shift; In-Shop location; expect to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar and allied machines using diagnostics, hydraulics, powertrain, and electrical systems.

Strong English communication, safety focus, and the ability to perform under standards are required. Minimum 6 months of related experience and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Current driver’s license.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Completion of eTRAIN test evaluation.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Maintain good client relations and support for corporate marketing objectives.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Maintain company equipment - keep in good, clean, orderly condition.
