Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate equipment at a recycling facility, landfill or transfer station. The role includes performing inspections, monitoring waste quality, and reporting needed repairs while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Two years of heavy equipment experience and at least one year on OSHA-regulated sites are required. The schedule is typically 4am–2pm, Monday through Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package offered

Qualifications

• Two years of prior heavy equipment operation experience.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintains pride in work and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment per company policy.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and loader.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
• Perform minor servicing and report repairs to Maintenance Shop.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs to supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and keep the shop clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
