Job summary

WM is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I for the EMELLE, AL site. This role offers stable night shifts (11pm–7am), Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, and benefits including health coverage, 401(k), and education assistance.

You will operate bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders across our recycling facilities, ensuring safety standards and efficient material handling. The position emphasizes reliability and independent work at a busy site.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; keeps records.
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with material moving equipment.
• Follows standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
