Job summary

WM is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I in Okeechobee, FL, with a 3:00 AM–1:30 PM Monday–Friday schedule. You will operate bulldozers, scrapers and loaders at our recycling facility and contribute to safe, efficient material handling.

Starting pay is $19 per hour, with healthcare coverage, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for education assistance and advancement within a safety‑focused company.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records.
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
• Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as per guidelines for operating and maintaining vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
