Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH Company, seeks a general laborer to support plant operations and maintenance at our Ohio facility. You will assist the plant foreperson, operate heavy equipment, perform general labor, and help with routine upkeep while adhering to safety standards.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED (or recent related training) and must be willing to learn, follow safety procedures, and work nights/weekends as needed in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant foreperson with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Operate heavy equipment as directed (Front-end Loader, skid steer).
• Perform general labor, shoveling and equipment maintenance as needed.
• May perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Identify and respond to safety hazards and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow directions carefully and maintain OSHA & MSHA awareness.
