Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Installation Technician II – Matting Solutions in the United States. You will operate heavy equipment safely, perform daily inspections, and work in all weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.

The role requires 1–3 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read construction plans. Travel and overtime are expected in this Safety Sensitive position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment on large construction projects.
• Valid driver’s license and fluency in reading English.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks with proper documentation.
• Conduct routine maintenance and ensure equipment is safely stored.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel and follow safety practices.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance.
• Understand ground signals and maintain eye contact with ground personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
