Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Installation Technician I - Matting Solutions to oversee the day-to-day operation of heavy equipment safely. You will work in all weather, including extreme heat and cold, and coordinate with site personnel on maintenance and inspections.

Based in Winnie, TX, this role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and 0-1 year of experience operating heavy equipment. Overtime travel is expected and confidentiality remains a priority.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and write fluently in English.
• Travel out of town during the week or weekends; extensive overtime.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment on large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks with documentation per policy.
• Participate in routine maintenance and safe storage of heavy equipment.
• Communicate effectively to site personnel and practice safety.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance.
• Understand ground signals and maintain eye contact with ground personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
