Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate dozer, track hoe, front end loader and haul truck in open pit mine operations. The role requires several years of loader experience and adherence to OSHA/MSHA procedures.

You will work in a team, report problems to the foreman, perform light maintenance, and participate in pre- and post-inspections. Willingness to travel up to 80% and to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience in operating heavy equipment in mining/open pit environments.
• Compliance with OSHA/MSHA safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment (dozer, track hoe, front end loader, haul truck) in open pit mine operations.
• Report problems to the Foreman and maintain a safe work environment for self and others.
• Perform routine servicing and small repairs; conduct daily pre- and post-inspections and document findings.
• Assist in training less-experienced workers and perform general labor duties as needed.
