Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for open pit mining operations in Mississippi. You will safely operate dozers, excavators, loaders, and haul trucks, working as part of a team under supervision.

A strong emphasis on safety and compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations is required. Applicants should have at least three years of related experience and be willing to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience operating heavy equipment in mining/open-pit environments.
• Experience with Dozer, Track Hoe, Front End Loader and Haul Truck preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 80% and work nights/weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes in pit/mining operations.
• Report problems to the Foreman or supervisor.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and co-workers.
• Communicate with team using signals and proper procedures.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections and document findings.
• Assist in training less-experienced workers.
• Perform general labor duties when needed.
