Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field crew at projects in the region. You will operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders, rollers, and trucks, ensuring precise material movement and adherence to safety protocols on site.

As part of a fast-paced team, you will coordinate with Foremen and operators to meet daily objectives, perform routine maintenance, and help prepare sites for new phases of civil construction while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• GED/high school diploma or related work experience.
• Trade school or prior experience operating a variety heavy equipment a plus
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment/materials up to 50 pounds
• Capacity to provide and follow direction.
• Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, and other heavy equipment safely.
• Excavate trenches for utility installation with precision.
• Assist crews in storm, water, and sewer pipe installation.
• Always follow site safety protocols.
• Communicate with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.
• Report injuries or other accidents to Foreman and Job Superintendent.
