OVERVIEW

Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Charenton Floodgate Replacement project in Jeanerette, LA.

The primary responsibility is to operate various Heavy Equipment at the worksite to construct, maintain, or repair highway, civil, or building structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist with other duties around the jobsite as needed, operating equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating equipment for tasks such as land clearing, backfilling, and transporting materials like dirt, rocks, and aggregates.
• Understanding operating procedures related to loading and unloading materials.
• Performing routine maintenance such as oiling, greasing, and safety checks; completing necessary documentation.
• Operating equipment that may produce vibrations, jolts, loud noises, and other physical stresses.
• Performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Compliance with safety policies and effective communication with team members.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
