Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) seeks a heavy equipment maintenance mechanic to support our recycling centers, fabrication plants, manufacturing facilities, steel mills and offices. You will work on cranes, engines, hydraulics, and welding processes to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and document repairs while upholding CMC safety culture in varying weather conditions and industrial

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/rigging.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on vehicles and mobile equipment, including fueling, cleaning, and checking fluids.
• Service machinery and mechanical equipment by repairing engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems; replace parts.
• Maintain records of work performed, repairs, and material usage.
• Uphold safety programs and keep work area clean and organized.
